The same slender mounting suits a larger stone here, this oval shape semi-mount engagement ring holding its center seat open for a diamond of 1.65 Ctw to 2.35 Ctw. Across the shoulders, 12 round cut diamonds are prong set in a fine line, the restraint deliberate so the center reads as the whole of the design. Each stone is held open on every side, letting light through from beneath as well as above. Offering the same slender mounting across two center ranges gives a buyer real flexibility, letting the stone rather than the setting decide the scale of the finished ring. Rose and white gold meet across the 14 karat construction, the white gold given a rhodium finish, and it is finished with a total weight of 1/20 Ctw.
