Across the shoulders, 20 round cut diamonds are prong set in a measured line that leads the eye inward. The open metalwork leaves every stone exposed to light on all sides, keeping even the smallest lively. The contrast between warm and cool metal is doing real work here, giving a strictly geometric design a depth that a single tone could not supply on its own. Rose and white gold are worked together through the 14 karat mounting, with a rhodium finish over the white gold, and the ring closes with a total weight of 1/8 Ctw.
