Carrying a halo cleanly around the point is the hardest part of setting a pear, and it is also the first thing the eye checks. This semi-mount halo engagement ring is drawn for a center of 1.65 Ctw to 2.35 Ctw, with 50 round cut diamonds prong set to follow the rounded shoulders of the outline and narrow through the tip before running into the band. The open metalwork keeps the frame bright exactly where it tapers. The larger the stone, the more the point matters, since any irregularity in the frame becomes visible there first. Execution shows itself at the tip before anywhere else on the ring. Crafted in rhodium finish 14 karat yellow gold, whose warmth carries through the whole design, it is completed with a total weight of 1/2 Ctw.
