A pear needs its point protected and its orientation fixed, and the seat of this semi-mount engagement ring is drawn with both in mind, prepared for a stone of 0.85 Ctw to 1.20 Ctw. Along the shoulders, 12 round cut diamonds are prong set in a delicate run that tapers toward the back of the band. Each is held open on all sides so brilliance enters the stone rather than reflecting off the mounting. The shoulders narrow as they travel back, a small adjustment that keeps the visual weight forward and lets the point of the stone lead the whole composition. Direction is what a pear offers, and the band protects it. Crafted in 14 karat white gold with a rhodium finish for an even, bright tone, the ring closes with a total weight of 1/20 Ctw.
