Warm metal and a pointed center make an unexpectedly graceful pairing in this marquise shape semi-mount halo engagement ring, its seat left open for a stone of 2.75 Ctw to 3.50 Ctw. Through the mounting, 56 round cut diamonds are prong set, following the elongated outline in a halo before running into the shoulders in a tapering line. The open settings allow light to enter each stone from every direction. A halo in yellow gold reads warmer than the same frame in white, the metal showing faintly between the stones and lending the whole setting a softer glow. It is a different effect entirely, and for many hands the more flattering one. Crafted in rhodium finish 14 karat yellow gold, which lends the brilliance a golden undertone, the ring arrives with a total weight of 3/4 Ctw.
