The pointed silhouette of a marquise stretches the eye along the finger, and a mounting this fine does nothing to interrupt that. The center seat is drawn for a stone of 1.65 Ctw to 2.35 Ctw, with 14 round cut diamonds prong set along the shoulders in a slender run. Because each sits in open metalwork, brilliance enters from beneath as well as above and the smaller stones keep their fire. The contrast between the twisted shank and the clean line of set stones gives the band two textures in a very small space, which is much of its interest. Interest at this scale comes from surface rather than size. Crafted in 14 karat white gold with a rhodium finish that keeps the metal cool and unobtrusive, the ring is completed with a total weight of 1/10 Ctw.
