Length is the marquise’s argument, and this semi-mount engagement ring is drawn to support it, the open center setting proportioned for a stone of 1.65 Ctw to 2.35 Ctw. Within the band, 6 straight baguette diamonds carrying weight 1/5 Ctw are flush set, their edges resting level with the metal. Following them, 14 round cut diamonds carrying weight 1/10 Ctw are prong set in even succession so light builds gradually toward the seat. The increase in side stone weight over the smaller mountings in this family lets the shoulders hold their own beside a larger center, a small adjustment that keeps the whole ring in proportion. Crafted in 14 karat white gold with a rhodium finish that keeps the surface bright and unobtrusive, the mounting is finished with a total weight of 1/4 Ctw.
