Scaled for a larger stone, this princess shape semi-mount engagement ring leaves its center setting open for a diamond of 4.50 Ctw to 5.50 Ctw. Along the shank, 6 straight baguette diamonds carrying weight 1/5 Ctw are flush set so their rectangular facets rest level with the metal, drawing a smooth line of light toward the center. Following them, 20 round cut diamonds carrying weight 1/8 Ctw sit in prong settings that leave each stone open on all sides. A semi-mount leaves the most important decision to the wearer, which is much of its appeal, and the proportions here are drawn to flatter a stone at the upper end of that range. Crafted in 14 karat white gold and given a rhodium finish that keeps the metal bright and even, the mounting waits on the stone that completes it and closes with a total weight of 1/3 Ctw.
