Stepping up the center range brings more stones with it, and this emerald shape semi-mount engagement ring carries 14 round cut diamonds in prong settings along the shoulders, keeping the band in proportion with a seat drawn for a stone of 1.65 Ctw to 2.35 Ctw. The open metalwork leaves each stone clear on every side so light passes through from beneath. Rose and white gold are worked together across the 14 karat mounting, the white gold given a rhodium finish that sharpens the pairing. Step cutting presents color and clarity plainly rather than scattering light, which is why the small stones along the shoulders matter more here than they would elsewhere. The ring arrives with a total weight of 1/10 Ctw.
