Drawn for a substantial round brilliant, this semi-mount engagement ring leaves its center seat open for a stone of 4.50 Ctw to 5.50 Ctw. Across the shoulders and gallery, 20 round cut diamonds are prong set in measured succession, the spacing kept even so the band reads as a quiet frame rather than a second feature. The open metalwork lets light through each stone from every side. A ring is seen from every angle except its own, so the shoulders and gallery are drawn to look considered in profile as much as they do from above. Few rings are examined as closely as this one will be. Yellow and white gold are worked together in the 14 karat mounting, the white gold given a rhodium finish, and it closes with a total weight of 1/8 Ctw.
