Classic 'U' Initial Diamond Pendant

Two uprights joined by a soft valley give the U a gentleness that few letters share. This initial pendant follows that curve with 13 round cut diamonds in prong settings, the stones descending one side, rounding the base and rising again so the light pools at the lowest point of the form. Open settings leave each diamond clear on all sides, letting brilliance enter from beneath as well as above. Crafted in 14 karat yellow gold, the warm metal traces the outline cleanly. The open top keeps the letter light at the throat, while the weight of the setting gathers at the base where the curve is deepest. It is a shape that sits comfortably however it falls. It is carried on a cable chain 1.00 MM in 18 inches with a lobster lock and extenders at 16″ & 17″, and is finished with a total weight of 1/4 Ctw.
